At Peachblossoms School, we believe that true learning happens when students take ownership of their own academic journey. One of our most anticipated flagship programs is the Student-Led Conference (SLC)—a transformative annual event that shifts the spotlight from the teacher to the learner.
What is the Student-Led Conference?
The SLC is an annual showcase involving students from Grade 1 through Grade 5. Unlike traditional parent-teacher meetings, the SLC places the student in the "driver’s seat."
During this event, students host their parents and guardians to present a curated portfolio of their best work and projects completed throughout the academic year. It is a celebration of growth, a reflection on challenges, and a proud display of mastery.
Why the SLC Matters
We move beyond simple grades to focus on holistic development. The Student-Led Conference is designed to cultivate several core competencies:
- Self-Reflection: Students analyze their own strengths and identify areas where they have grown the most.
- Communication Skills: Presenting complex projects to an audience builds confidence and public speaking abilities from a young age.
- Accountability: By explaining their learning process, students take responsibility for their academic outcomes.
- Critical Thinking: Students don't just show what they made; they explain how they made it and why it matters.
