Bekasi | January 31, 2026 Peachblossoms School recently turned the tables on parents, inviting them to step into the shoes of their children for an immersive IPC and IMYC Workshop. Held at the Primary School campus, the event was designed to give families a transparent look "under the hood" of the school’s international curriculum.
Learning by Doing
Rather than sitting through a standard presentation, parents became students for the day. They participated in the full learning cycle—from the initial "entry point" to the final "exit point."
This hands-on approach demonstrated exactly how the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) work in practice. Parents experienced how inquiry-based learning connects lessons to real-world contexts, moving beyond rote memorization to focus on critical thinking and skill development.
Parent Perspectives
The reaction from the parent community was enthusiastic, with many noting the energy and engagement required by the curriculum.
The parent of Giffin (Grade 8) highlighted the practical nature of the lessons:
"I realized that the IMYC curriculum is fun. Learning is not only about theory, but also about practicing what is being taught."
The parent of Graciella (Grade 8) expressed confidence in the school’s methods:
"This activity provided an extraordinary experience. I am confident that the children also experience the same excitement when learning in class."
Bridging Home and School
The primary goal of the workshop was to align the parents' understanding with the school's teaching methods. By experiencing the excitement of the classroom firsthand, Peachblossoms School hopes parents now have a deeper insight into how their children are being molded into confident, internationally-minded learners.
